Happy Happenings At Pattern Gate
Thursday, June 4, 2009. I had the great honor to work with Mariko Edwards yesterday. Mrs. Edwards was the head of alterations at Frankie Welch Originals in Alexandria. Mariko did work for the families of many of our country's important policy makers including former First Lady Betty Ford. Mariko came to our home to help me make a shirt for my husband. It was a gift to watch her lay out the pattern on the fabric and to just be with her. I am so grateful she is willing to share her talent with me. It took a while as the matching of the pattern proved a challenge. Friday we start to sew! Today I buy new scissors!
